 | | | | | | | | | I have things I'd like to have done this month. I've got quite a bit going on this month, so I'm going to call this a "maybe" list, kind of like how I hate using the word "plan." This is what I'd like to do, but time and unforeseen occurrence will dictate what actually happens. Maybe by the end of May... - The Not-So-Super Superhero will be fully edited and transformed from a once-a-day blog story to a cohesive novel. Wave one of the edits are complete, and I have all the pieces I need otherwise. It's just the edits holding it back. As always.
- The cover art and divider art for Any Other Reality will be done, I'll have the edits complete, and that can be put together in a nice ebook for publishing as well.
- All the Men in My Life will finally have its cover. Then, from cover, divider art. Then I can get edits done and back from a couple people and not only do an ebook but also attempt to make an audiobook of it. I need the edits first, though.
- We will have the custom page and cover art for The Memory Collector and the first bit of it completely ready to be posted to the website.
- I should be launching the Kabobble's Choice excerpt section of the website with the story suggested by
rinkle in this post. I am still open to getting more stories for the picture. I haven't actually had a chance to put the ideas rattling around my brain on paper yet, but I will. Soon. - I'd like to have the issues keeping me from finishing The Monster in My Garden Shed and Criss-Crossed Paths resolved so they can be moved to the only needing edits state, and then, of course, I must edit them.
- I need to finishing figuring out createspace and get print versions of the already published titles.
- I would like to have summaries for all the stories that I have completed.
- I would like to complete another round of edits for all of my own stories that are completed. Plus I owe a couple people some, too.
- Have more research done on my new historical novel.
- On a more personal note, I think it's time I start acting like something other than writing matters.
Well, that's probably plenty for May, and I think it's a good thing those are all maybes because I don't think I'll get to half of them. And that reminds me... I need another new to-do list. This is not quite the same thing...

 | | | | | | | | | However... I have this piece here that I did a quick computer colorization of, and so... Let us play us a game? It could be fun. Tell me what this picture makes you think of. (If the colors interfere, I can put the black and white version up, too.) Anything you think of, feel free to tell me. If you have... say, a story idea... Maybe you can inspire fic (of either kind, though since this is my drawing, I suppose it leans toward original fic and not fanfic.) If you do inspire fic, then you could possibly get... - a dedication
- a free copy of the story as an ebook in the format you choose
- a free copy of the print version (if I do an original fiction off of it)
And, of course, everyone will see the story. Forgot to mention that. Picture: Feel free to critique the drawing as well. I am not an artist, after all.

 | | | | | | | | | ...of people who have read my original fiction, specific to each story...
So if you would not mind commenting and saying what story you have read and answering the questions I have about them, if any. I don't have a huge list, but I had a few questions about In the Family and Nickel and Dime and some of the others as well, but I am not sure who around livejournal has read the ones besides In the Family that I might ask about, if anyone.
I really need a better way to get people reading... Oh, right, I will be fixing that with The Memory Collector due to go up on the site a chapter a week after some art and additional edits... And I was thinking of a few other ideas as well beyond the community that I don't seem to be good at updating. Sign up form, maybe email exchange... I'll have to keep working on it. I just need to know what people think.
Of course, I can always use more people to answer questions, so if anyone has time and wants to read and give a general opinion, that would be appreciated as well.
Anyway... If you have read... the pygmies have questions for you... dun dun dun...

 | | | | | | | | | Or maybe I do. Either way, gonna make one. Just of the stuff I need to do online and writing/editing wise. The list would be too large if I put in all the other things, the "real life" things I have to do. Respond to fanfiction.net reviews... I haven't because I've gotten quite a few asking for new stories and I haven't had any fanfiction inspiration recently, so I just avoided the question...Deal with community management stuff on livejournal.Respond to youtube comments. I have never liked doing that because I don't like the way they work, but... they're overdue. Oh, yeah, and I suppose I better disable comments on the one because I do not want it turning into a Tiva vs Tabby fighting ground.- Finish editing The Memory Collector. How many more flashbacks do I need to cover the stuff in the quotes? Not sure, but it can't be that many.
- Go over the first part of The Monster in My Garden Shed. Try and find time when reading aloud can happen. Probably not this weekend. Too busy today, kids tonight, busy/gone all day tomorrow, and even Sunday. Crap.
Make a list of entry titles to keep and then divide The Not-So-Super Superhero into chapters and start another round of edits on it. Add in divider art.- Post all completed fic to
uniquepygmies. Post the in progress/incomplete after that. Update the website, the blog, and the facebook for Kabobbles. This should be easier to do on a regular basis, but I had a lousy March.- Do some more edits on the one fic even though I'm not sure the person I started them for wants them...
Rewatch some stuff for helping with court room details.Settle volunteering debate and get that organized for research and stuff.Write more new stuff... Oh, wait, that's the easiest/funnest part on here...

 | | | | | | | | | So... it came to our attention here the table of contents, that is to say, chapter navigation, was missing from our previous versions of both of my ebooks for Amazon or Barnes and Noble. Smashwords versions had it, but the others did not. Also, I have added a translation glossary for In the Family. If you have purchased either book previously, please go and replace it with the newer version. If, for any reason, the distributor tries to charge you for it again, let us here at Kabobbles know and we will send you the updated file in the appropriate format for you. Still ironing the kinks out of this process. I learn new things every day. Since the plan from a few weeks back went entirely out the window and the cover for Not-So is done, I believe that one will be the next project for publishing. If you have read any of it and had any feedback, let the pygmies know. They tell me they want to be vicious editors. They're already torturing me with things I must do to fix the untitled story I'm currently working on and want to take a hacksaw to the historical mystery I just finished. :P

Other people have muses. I have pygmies. Vicious ones, and the rabbit's the ring leader. The rabbit is related to the one in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, responsible for the evil cliffhangers. The slow loris is the lazy one, to blame for slow updates. The marmoset is good at staring, which makes him the one to go to for details. The goat cleans up the messes, but he also helps make them. The owl is responsible for all the ideas that come at night. The tarsier is responsible for all the cute/sweet stuff. Because he is cute and sweet.

Look what they done to my song, Ma. Look what they done to my song. Well, it's the only thing I could do half- right, and it's turning out all wrong, Ma. Look what they done to my song.
Look what they done to my brain, Ma. Look what they done to my brain. Well, they picked it like a chicken bone, and I think I'm half-insane, Ma. Look what they done to my song.
I wish I could find a good book to live in, wish I could find a good book. Well, if I could find a real good book,
I'd never have to come out and look at what they done to my song.
La Da Da Da Da Da Da...
Look what they done to my song.
But maybe it'll all be all right, Ma. Maybe it'll all be okay. Well, if the people are buying tears, I'll be rich some day, Ma. Look what they done to my song.
Ils ont changé ma chanson, Ma. Ils ont changé ma chanson. C'est la seule chose que je peux faire,et ce n'est pas bonne, Ma. Ils ont changé ma chanson.
Look what they done to my song, Ma. Look what they done to my song, Ma.
Well, they tied it up in a plastic bag, and turned it upside down, Ma. Look what they done to my song.
Ils ont changé ma chanson, Ma. Ils ont changé ma chanson. C'est la seule chose que je peux faire, et ce n'est pas bonne, Ma. Ils ont changé ma chanson.
Look what they done to my song, Ma. Look what they done to my song.
Well, it's the only thing I could do all right, and they turned it upside down. Look what they done to my song.
